In this project we present an affordable hard- and software solution for eye-tracking and user-friendly lens calibration within an HMD that can be recreated at low costs. We also present novel gaze-contingent VR applications for the HMD.
The article presents a VR setup being designed for free navigation in virtual space. The user carries a vest with the required attached hardware.
